From the Wilderness to Your Table — The Sea Buckthorn Freeze-Drying Journey
01

Receipt of Flash-Frozen Sea Buckthorn
We source our berries from pristine forests and river valleys, where they’re hand-picked at peak ripeness and flash-frozen within hours to seal in their vivid color, tangy aroma, and high vitamin content.
The berries arrive at our facility rock-solid, with all their delicate bioactive compounds intact.
02
Quality Inspection & Sorting (Frozen)
Our team inspects every batch for size, color uniformity, and integrity of the berries, ensuring only perfect fruit goes into the freeze-dryer.

03
Tray Loading
Still frozen, the berries are arranged on perforated stainless-steel trays. This spacing ensures optimal air circulation and uniform drying.
04
Primary Drying — Sublimation
Inside the vacuum chamber, the ice inside the berries turns directly into vapor without melting (sublimation). Gentle shelf heat removes water without damaging nutrients or flavor.

05
Secondary Drying — Removing Bound Moisture
Once the ice is gone, we carefully raise the temperature to drive off remaining bound water, reducing moisture below 5% for long shelf life.
06
Return to Atmosphere & Unloading
The chamber is vented with dry, filtered air. Ultra-light, crisp berries are carefully unloaded to avoid crushing their delicate structure.

07
Milling into Powder
For our powdered product range, the freeze-dried berries are milled into a fine, vibrant orange powder. This format is perfect for smoothies, teas, bakery products, and nutritional supplements.
08
Nitrogen Flushing & Packaging
Both whole berries and powder are immediately packed in high-barrier pouches or vacuum-sealed bags. Nitrogen flushing removes oxygen to prevent oxidation, locking in freshness, aroma, and vivid color.
